October highlights will include (but not exclusively :)) a return to The Hope in Newhaven, and The Alexandra in Worthing. So whether you live in East or West Sussex, you’ve got no excuse for missing out on all the glittery new stuff we’re doing, plus your old favourites too. Check the gig guide for full details and connect with us on Facebook. We’d love to see your photos and the odd (polite) comment 🙂
So September saw us return to Portslade and the welcoming folk at The Victoria. Thank you to them. And we also went down to the farm again to celebrate a very special birthday with The Macs. Feeling like part of the family there nowadays. Huge love to all concerned…and the chickens!
Seaford beckons the band next. Always fun at The Old Boot. In the meantime, you can catch the duo at various locations. Have a look at our gig calendar and see the latest venues. The hot weather may have gone, but Buckler’s Reel hot folk-rock is here to stay. See you soon 🙂
The gig calendar is filling up nicely now which is good news. Did you know that the full band only plays twice a month? That means if you want that kind of full on folk-rockin’ fiesta, check our calendar now and get in quick if there’s a gap. Maybe now’s the time to plan and book for that Summer Festival? Contact Sue, the holder of our diary, via info on this website or message her via Facebook. Don’t miss out 🙂
If you booked us in 2017 or you came to see us, Buckler’s Reel would like to thank you all and wish you a very happy rockin’ Christmas. (If you didn’t, let’s try to remedy that in 2018 shall we?) We’ve had a good year, playing new venues in Bexhill and Portslade, plus fun times in Billingshurst, Southwick, Burgess Hill, Seaford. And it was great to gig in Worthing again. Also a highlight has to be playing our first ever Sausage and Cider Festival in Ditchling. Hoping for more of the same in 2018 plus some new opportunities to spread the Buckler’s Reel message of joy, jigs and jars (all done responsibly of course 🙂 )
Hi and welcome to the Official Buckler’s Reel website. Here you can find information about band history and current members, view the extensive song list from which our sets are drawn, gaze at rare photos of the band, and also see our gig calendar. Make sure you save this site to your favourites and LIKE OUR Facebook page to stay completely up to date with your favourite folk-rockers 😀
